There is a better way to learn how to play the piano!

Learn how to play the piano quickly without having to spend hours practicing the same songs over and over again with little to no progress

Learning to play the piano can be fun and you will want to play the piano for the rest of your life!

Do you have an unused piano taking up space in your home? Pianos are not just pieces of furniture.  You can learn how to play beautiful music!  No -- you do not have to spend years and years practicing the piano before you can be an accomplished pianist.

Perhaps you took lessons in childhood --only to give up later in frustration.   Now you regret that you did not stick to it!

Perhaps you would love it if your children learned to play the piano -but the idea of it seems insurmountable.  Perhaps your children are taking lessons --but getting them to practice and play the piano is a chore and they just seem to be making noise and not progressing.

Don't give up!   You can learn how to play the piano today.  Does it take practice?  Of course, but if you or your children are making music then practicing and playing becomes a joy and not a chore.  Music will brighten your soul and your home and add enjoyment to your life. Others, may find that they want to pursue music as a career or play in a band.

Teaching Methodology

My methodology is an integrated approach.

Unlike traditional methods that focus on  deciphering complicated classical sheet music from the start, I will teach the student chord structures and how to play music from a melody sheet (also known as a fake sheet or lead sheet).   I will show the student how to analyze chord progressions and how to improvise and create music  (like professional musicians).  This will enable the student to learn many songs at a faster rate and in so doing it will build musical skills in a shorter amount of time.  Along with this, student will be taught musical theory, rhythmic structures,  and proper piano technique.

The student will also be taught how to read and perform classical piano music if they wish.  Other styles will be emphasized as well, such as pop, rock, jazz, standards, folk, country, blues, etc.

This integrated approach will be applied to each individual student according to their unique aptitudes, interests, and abilities.

Schedule a first lesson (consultation) for free to see if you (or your child) will benefit from this approach.  I can explain, show piano methods, and answer questions much easier in person.  I am open to students of all ages --from young children to older adults.

It is never too early or late to learn how to play and enjoy the piano!   Enjoy music for your lifetime!

(Lessons will be given on a Steinway & Sons 7 foot 5 inch grand piano.)
